The Volunteers Project uses the support of volunteers to provide information and promote awareness of dementia to the general public and those concerned about the condition. Many volunteering opportunities are available including Information Volunteers, day care, driving and helping at dementia cafes.

Volunteers

Volunteer at a local school

Volunteers can help by:

  • distributing our leaflets and other information
  • giving talks on dementia to local groups of all kinds
  • helping to staff information stands at events.

Information volunteer - Helping handsWe will provide you with training, support and back-up to help you speak confidently about dementia to individuals and groups such as rotary clubs, women’s guilds, carers’ groups and schoolchildren.

There is no upper age limit to volunteering with us. All we ask is that you want to know
more about dementia and help others to do the same.

By volunteering a few hours a month, you could learn new skills, gain confidence and make new friends.
