Woodland Celebration Day for people living with dementia, their families, friends, and carers

Where? Lochore Meadows Country Park, Crosshill, Lochgelly KY5 8BA.
When? Tuesday 24th July 2012 – Come for about 11.30 and aim to leave about 3pm.
What shall we bring? Picnic lunch, drinks, sun-cream and hats, cameras, waterproofs, umbrellas, cash for a coffee or an ice-cream.
Who is it for? Everyone living with dementia within travelling distance of Lochore Mead- ows – the more the merrier! Children, dogs, grandchildren…Bring whoever you think will enjoy it! Wheelchair facilities are good here and the walk is accessible.
What will happen? We will begin by sharing lunch together, take part in a loch-side and woodland walk, make memory sticks and eco-art, learn about nature, watch the sailing on the loch, and have a great time! There are inside spaces booked in case the weather is variable and we are providing volunteer assistance.
How much does it cost? It’s FREE! VisitWoods and the Woodland Trust Scotland are funding this day thanks to the support of Forestry Commission Scotland and Scottish Natural Heritage. VisitWoods aims to inspire more people to enjoy and value trees and woods in Scotland and throughout the UK.
