Dementia Trainers Nominated for Award

Alzheimer Scotland’s external trainers have been nominated for the ‘Group Partnership Working’ category at the Scottish Learning Development Awards for a unique dementia training course.

The course, delivered in partnership with English tutors from Stirling Council’s Adult Learning Team (as part of the Stirling Council Aspire Project) was aimed at care workers whose first language isn’t English, working in care homes in the Stirling area. The aim of the training was to increase understanding of dementia and to help improve the care and support provided to residents in care homes.
